Happy Wednesday! I have lost track of time and what day it is since quarantining but I always know when it’s Wednesday because Wednesday is trash day and I love watching the excitement on my sons face every Wednesday when we stand outside and wave at the trash man! I also know what time it is when both my kids nap at the same time. 2pm because that is the only time I have alone these days.
I haven’t been on here in a very long time. Honestly aside from not having the time (which now all I have is time), I haven’t had much motivation, until yesterday Tuesday March 30th 2020 day 18 of staying home. I have realized it’s starting to feel a lot like groundhogs day around here and I need to start doing something that fills me up other than play with my kids all day long. So I’m going to try to commit to writing more and sharing more on this space which I created for just that several years ago. I want to post things I’m passionate about and activities I’m doing with the kids to keep them busy and me sane. I know there will days where I can’t do this, but I’m going to try my darn hardest to keep my word to myself and you.
Skin is something I have always been passionate about and I felt inspired by how many woman reached out to me online about my skin routine so I wanted to share a little bit more in detail about what I use and have this as something you can always come back to for skin help since Instagram stories go away!
When I was 23, I met a woman named Jodie Emery. She taught me the importance of skin. She was the first person I saw for botox and the only person until I moved to Nashville. I would fly to LA to see my family and her until I started having kids and it became impossible to do. Jodie introduced me to hydroquinone and retinol which is what I believe kept my skin looking young along with the botox. If you are in the LA area I HIGHLY recommend Jodie for all injections and skin advice. She is one of the kindest most beautiful woman inside and out that I have ever known and I miss her so much. My passion started in her office years ago.
I’m going to keep this as short and simple and to the point as possible since my son is singing in his bed and I have a feeling he will be up shortly.
Let me start by saying all of our skin is so very very different so what works for me may not work for you. I’m 39, I have very sensitive skin. My skin is fair and I burn in the sun. I had skin cancer at 28 years old. My skin regimen may not work for you or some might and some might not. You may need something stronger or weaker on your skin. I have also worked up to using more intense products on my skin so if you are just starting, remember to go slow, every few days instead of every day with a lot of these products.
MORNINGS!
First thing I do in the morning before I go outside is my morning face bath!
Wash with Skin Bar sensitive cleanser then pat dry with towel
Wipe entire face with one Gly/Sal pad from Binhlam Aesthetics let dry (My contact there is Lacy Gifford)
Apply a half dropper full of Skin Ceuticals PHLORETIN CF (antioxidant treatment) Let dry
Apply a few drops of my Skin Ceuticals CUSTOM DOSE Formulated by Binhlam Aesthetics (Lacy Gifford)
Apply half dropper full of Skin Ceuticals PHYTO CORRECTIVE GEL (calming)
Apply two pumps Epionce Renewal Face Lotion
Apply two pumps Tinted SPF 44 from SKIN PHARM
2 Minute Quick Makeup!
Mix
1 pump Skin Pharm Tinted SPF - 1 pump It Cosmetics CC Cream ( I use the color Light) 1-2 drops Cover FX DROPS ( I use the color Celestial)
I apply this mix all over and blend with a beauty blender!! Little bit of Bye Bye Under eye and a touch of Hoola From Benefit. This gives the perfect color for pretty much all skin tones. I have never found a bronzing powder that I like better.
SHEEEESSSHHH I know that’s a lot! But it goes on quicker than you can read this! Hahaha. Like I mentioned in my IG TV, I am NOT a minimalist when it comes to skin care but I am when it comes to makeup! I guess you have to pick and choose your battles. I know no one is perfect but I do strive for perfect skin.

NIGHTS
My night face bath is very similar to my day bath. I believe it is so important to wash your face at night. No matter how tired I am, how busy I get, how late it is, how many drinks I have had….. I ALWAYS wash my face, ALWAYS. Getting the day off my face and any makeup I might have put on, has got to come off at night to have pretty glowing skin with no congestion.
Wash with Skin Bar sensitive cleanser then pat dry with towel
Wipe entire face with one Brightning Pad from Binhlam Aesthetics let dry (My contact there is Lacy Gifford)
Apply a few drops of my Skin Ceuticals CUSTOM DOSE Formulated by Binhlam Aesthetics (Lacy Gifford)
Apply half dropper full of Skin Ceuticals PHYTO CORRECTIVE GEL (calming)
Apply the size of about a nickle Skin Ceuticals GLYCOLIC 10 RENEW OVERNIGHT (promotes cell turnover)
Apply The Magic…….
Dig your thumb nail into The Blue Cacoon or what I like to call The Magic and rub in fingers until it turns to oil then apply to entire face. This is the stuff my husband steals from me. I use this over makeup in certain areas to add glow during the day or when I fly (I should say when I use to fly) I apply once or twice while in the sky to avoid getting too dry. This is very pricey but should last you a year if you use it sparingly and if your spouse isn’t stealing it from you. TIP: Don’t let your husband dig their nail in because they have a VERY HEAVY DIP and will use way too much thinking it’s not enough!
Hope this helps! Love your feedback on what you ended up with and how you are liking it!
Cheers!
xoxo
